About:

Rylie survived becoming a werewolf at great cost. She moves to her aunt’s ranch in the hopes she can enroll in a new high school and quietly continue her life... with a few distinct changes. She transforms into a beast every new and full moon and struggles to control her murderous urges.

My thoughts:

Sara you did it! I really liked Seasons of the Moon, but All Hallows Moon had everything in it that made it a brilliant book! Let me start by saying that the cover for this book is already a hundred times better, and everything else about it, from the writing, the plot and the characters just keeps getting better and better.

Rylie became a werewolf at camp, and she met a boy, who turned out to be a werewolf hunter. Two things that just don't go together. Bad things happened, but Rylie managed to get away. She can't home though, not to the big city, not when she turns into a wolf every full moon.

Rylie ends up living with her Aunt Gwen on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. But she spooks animals, and when she turns into a wolf she ends up ripping some cows apart. The whole keeping her secret a secret is becoming harder. Especially when there are people after her now.

People like Seth's mother, the boy who didn't kill her back when he knew she was a werewolf and sort of fell for her.

Yeah.

I got all wrapped up an entangled in this one because I just love Rylie so much. She's what werewolves should be, when they're girls. And I think her experiences and choices are exactly what any girl in her situation would do.

I can't wait for the next SM Reine book and I'm glad she's still writing books! (one day I will let you know which Indie Authors I miss because they didn't put more than one book out there.)

  1. Great review! I'm with you 100%. I love these books, and I love Sara's werewolves. She's pretty much my favourite self-published author. You have to read Long Night Moon, like, ASAP. It's the next in the series. And it was my favourite of the three. So I bet you'll love it, too.

You can visit my blog, At Home Between the Pages, and find my reviews for SM Reine's books in my review archive, if you're so inclined :).

  2. Who are some of the indie authors you miss because they didn't put out a second book, and what were their books? I bet if they knew, they'd be very encouraged. louisesor.wordpress.com

  3. @Louise, I miss Sammie Spencer, that comment was specifically about her. I found out later though that she's postponing her second novel, so all is not lost! Also, I am waiting on M. Leighton's next Madly James book, I should go check to see if it's out yet.
